There is fine scratching to the inside of the bowl and light surface haze to the outside, consistent with age and use. The plating is worn through to the base metal at the feet and along the rim band, and the metal beneath is yellow where it shows. The three feet are intact and I did not find any breaks in the wirework or the medallions. The liner sits in the frame as a fitted piece, and I can’t say it began its life with this frame. There are no marks anywhere on the piece, so the age is assessed from construction and materials alone.
