There is no key. The interior is unfitted, with no tea canisters or mixing bowl. The green fabric lining is fraying along the edges and seams, with loose threads, and there is reddish-brown staining to the lining at the base of the interior. The back right bun foot has been repaired and glued back on. There is a small loss to the pale edge banding along the top edge of the lid beside one handle, and there are scratches to the lid. The remaining feet show wear. The underside carries a green covering with losses that expose bare wood in several patches, and the retailer’s plate is fixed over it. I have not claimed the lining, handles, hinges or lock as original to the box, and I have not established the surface. The lid stays open on its own.
