Antique Ruby Glass Gilt Scent Bottle

A ruby glass scent bottle with an octagonal body, a scalloped shoulder, and a star-cut base, decorated in gilt with birds on scrolling foliage. It was made for a dressing table and works just as well on a vanity, a bar cart, or a shelf of small glass. The neck is open and the stopper is missing.
The glass is solid ruby, and I found no chips or cracks. The gilt decoration is worn, faded, and smudged in places. The stopper is missing, so the bottle has an open neck. The inside of the neck has brown residue from former contents. The collar is unmarked and non-magnetic, and I assess it as silver plate or silver, though no mark establishes which. Its rim has a few small dents and marks, and there is some tarnish near the lip. A black band sits at the base of the collar, and I do not know whether it is original to the piece.

Shipping & Returns
All antique and vintage items are shipped from our warehouse in Bluffdale, Utah. Each piece is carefully packed by hand using archival materials and custom crating when necessary.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of the item. Local pickup is available at the AMD Warehouse.
Furniture is the exception. Because of size and weight, furniture shipping is quoted separately rather than calculated at checkout. Send a DM on Instagram or email austynmariedesign@gmail.com for a quote, or arrange your own shipping from the warehouse.
All sales of antique and vintage items are final due to their unique, one-of-a-kind nature. Illuminé candles and The Collector's Guide may be returned within 14 days of delivery if unopened and in original condition.
If your piece arrives damaged, please photograph the damage immediately (including packaging), contact us within 48 hours at austynmariedesign@gmail.com, and do not discard any packaging.
