The World of Titian comes from Time-Life's Library of Art series, and this copy still has the printed slipcase that most have lost, the one carrying the engraved view of Venice. Jay Williams traces Titian from his start as a child of the Renaissance through his long reign as Venice's great colorist. The plates are where it earns its keep. Titian's reds and that deep Venetian blue reproduce with real warmth, and the religious and mythological works fill the page. It reads as a reference and shelves as a clean maroon-and-cream block in a library or on a stack.
The binding is tight and square with clean boards and a sound gilt-lettered spine. The text block is bright and free of foxing or markings in the pages photographed. The slipcase is present, which is the harder part to find, and shows light edge wear and gentle rubbing to the printed engraving consistent with age and shelf storage. A very good copy overall, complete with its slipcase.

All antique and vintage items are shipped from our warehouse in Bluffdale, Utah. Each piece is carefully packed by hand using archival materials and custom crating when necessary.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of the item. Local pickup is available at the AMD Warehouse.
All sales of antique and vintage items are final due to their unique, one-of-a-kind nature. Illuminé candles and The Collector's Guide may be returned within 14 days of delivery if unopened and in original condition.
If your piece arrives damaged, please photograph the damage immediately (including packaging), contact us within 48 hours at austynmariedesign@gmail.com, and do not discard any packaging.
