The ornate gilt-metal case shows only light surface wear and a warm, even patina on the high points—no dents, breaks, or loose parts. The shell motifs, scrolling cartouches and urn finial are intact and crisp.
I haven’t actually tried to power it up, but it’s fitted with a standard “Olympus – German made mvt.” quartz insert. Just pop in a AA battery, set the hands, and I’m sure anyone could have it running in moments.
