Sound and stable, with the wear you would expect from a working copper vessel that has been kept rather than restored. The exterior carries a warm oxidized surface with scattered pale mineral deposits, heaviest around the upper collar and across the base. The interior shows a broad band of green patina running around the lower wall and base, with bare copper above it. None of this has been cleaned back or polished out, and I would leave it alone.
The brass along the vertical body seam and around the base is brazing from the way the pot was put together, not decoration. It shows as a raised yellow line and is visible in the photographs. At one point on the rolled rim, where the roll passes over the brazed seam, there is a small gap in the roll. The base is flat and the pot sits without rocking.
The form is hand raised, so it is not perfectly round, and the opening reads slightly oval in the overhead photographs. That is normal for a raised vessel and not damage.
I have not water tested it, and I would not treat it as watertight. Use a nursery pot or a liner inside it for anything living, which is how it is shown here.
Please review all photographs closely, as they form part of this description.
