Vintage Spanish Oil Painting, Seville Street Scene, Signed
Vintage Spanish Oil Painting, Seville Street Scene, Signed
Couldn't load pickup availability
A small sunlit street scene in Seville, signed F. G. Gallardo at the lower right with the city named alongside the signature. The painting shows a square Moorish-style tower rising above whitewashed houses, with green shuttered windows, an iron balcony, a low arched passage, and magenta bougainvillea spilling down the wall. It is the kind of bright souvenir oil that visitors carried home from Andalusia in the mid-20th century, painted in a loose, cheerful hand. The signature names a specific artist, though I could not trace him in any record, so I am listing it simply as signed.
The painting is in good condition with a bright, well-preserved surface and strong color. The oil sits stably on the board with no flaking or paint loss. There is light surface wear and minor handling marks at the extreme edges, consistent with an unframed board of this age. The signature and the Sevilla inscription are clear and legible at the lower right. The piece is unframed and ready to frame or to set on a shelf or easel as is.
